meet angie.

Angie is a yoga teacher and mentor based in Chicago, Illinois.  She has completed over 2000 training hours in yoga asana (movement + postures), pranayama (breath exercises) and meditation.  She is 500HR ERYT and a Yoga Alliance Accredited Continuing Education provider.  

As a lifelong seeker, Angie continues to study and is most influenced by Anusara Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga and Viniyoga.  She has studied with a variety of master teachers from across the United States and has been influenced by numerous styles of yoga and other healing modalities.

Angie was introduced to yoga as a 16 year old in gym class and her early home practices consisted of Rodney Yee VHS tapes.  Little did she know that this requirement for physical fitness would develop into a passion for this healing tradition.  Yoga has helped Angie overcome body image issues, develop confidence as a business owner, relieve stress and anxiety issues, prevent migraines and, simply put, be a better human being.

Her teaching style is blended from years of movement and exploration.  She serves her students by teaching to the audience at hand and letting go of her own agenda.  She loves offering powerful and thoughtful Vinyasa flow just as much as she loves sharing more gentle, yet still breath centric, classes.  

Angie believes that in yoga there is no right or wrong.  There is what is right for you and for your body.  So while she is an anatomy and biomechanics geek, she empowers students to move in a way that honors their unique needs in an effort to heal and balance.  She also believes that there is power in recognizing that we are multi-dimensional beings and her classes dive deeper than the physical layer encouraging self-inquiry and exploration in a safe space.

Currently, Angie teaches group yoga classes at Yoga Six in the Gold Coast of Chicago and the Trump Tower in downtown Chicago.  She also loves guest teaching at Yoga Six in Milwaukee.

She offers private yoga services for individuals, groups and workplaces throughout the Chicagoland area and customizes sessions based on the unique needs of her clients.  

You can also catch Angie teaching in depth workshops and special events at Yoga Six and the Trump Tower.  You can dive even deeper with Angie during Yoga Six's 200HR Yoga Teacher Training programs in Chicago and Milwaukee.

In addition to yoga and meditation services, Angie provides coaching focused on living a better life OFF THE MAT.  All sessions are focused on your unique intentions and a variety of topics can be explored. 

Whether a group class, private session, workshop, teacher training or coaching session, Angie's goal is always the same - that her clients leave feeling nourished, light and happy.

GROUP YOGA CLASSES

Angie teaches alignment based Vinyasa Flow classes at Yoga Six in the Gold Coast and the Trump Tower in downtown Chicago.  Through intelligent sequencing, breath orchestration and thoughtful theming, her classes help students move beyond the physical and tap into an emotional and energetic experience.

Private sessions offer convenience, customization, deeper learning and expedited progress. Angie offers private sessions for individuals, groups and workplaces.

Meditation can seem daunting.  Angie offers meditation practices to individuals, groups and workplaces in an approachable and accessible way. Each private led-meditation is customized based on the client's needs and includes light movement to prepare for seated meditation and breath work to maintain focus.
