meet angie.

Angie is a Yoga + Meditation teacher, Mindfulness Coach, Reiki Master Teacher and Feng Shui Consultant based in Chicago, Illinois.  She has completed over 2000 training hours in yoga asana (movement + postures), pranayama (breath exercises) and meditation, is a 500HR Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Alliance and a Yoga Alliance Certified Continuing Education Provider (YACEP).

As a lifelong seeker, Angie continues to study and is influenced by a mixture of yoga philosophies including the Krishnamacharya lineage and the Tantra.  She has studied with a variety of master teachers and is inspired not only by yoga but other movement and healing modalities.

Angie was introduced to yoga as a 16 year old in gym class and her early home practices consisted of Rodney Yee VHS tapes.  Little did she know that this requirement for physical fitness would develop into a passion for this healing tradition. The systems of Yoga, Meditation, Mindfulness and Feng Shui have helped her to overcome body image issues, develop confidence as a business owner, relieve stress and anxiety issues, prevent migraines and, simply put, be a better human being.

Her teaching style is blended from years of movement and philosophical exploration - including the Yoga lineages of Ashtanga, Iyengar and Viniyoga and outside modalities of Reiki, Daoism and Buddhism.  Angie believes that inquiry and investigation are life’s greatest teachers. She offers the gifts of yoga, meditation and mindfulness in an approachable, empowering and non-dogmatic manner that is accessible to all levels.

Currently, Angie teaches group yoga and meditation classes, corporate mindfulness, private sessions, workshops and teacher trainings in Chicago, IL and across the Midwest.  In addition, Angie provides mentorship and coaching focused on living a better life off the mat.

Whether a group class, private session, workshop, teacher training or coaching session, Angie's goal for her clients is always the same - that they leave feeling nourished, light and happy.

GROUP YOGA CLASSES

Angie teaches alignment based Vinyasa Flow classes at Yoga Six in the Gold Coast and the Trump Tower in downtown Chicago.  Through intelligent sequencing, breath orchestration and thoughtful theming, her classes help students move beyond the physical and tap into an emotional and energetic experience.

Private sessions offer convenience, customization, deeper learning and expedited progress. Angie offers private sessions for individuals, groups and workplaces.  

Sessions can be booked in studio (at Yoga Six) or on location (your workplace).
